I used to work here and have stayed here as a guest as well, the NP Hostel is always a great choice to stay. Pleasant people and right on main st., what else could you ask for!

Great affordable place to stay in town. Full kitchen, good variety of rooms of different sizes, with private and shared bathrooms.

Really enjoyed our stay and convenience to downtown. We stayed an extra night because it was so nice. Funky cool atmosphere.

Great place, plenty of pots and pans and stuff in the kitchen and great wifi and accommodations. Just enough room for parking. A little far from Marist where I was going (25 minutes) but close to anything else you might need

Love this place, I actually left the Hilton Hyatt to come here..Larry the Concierge couldn't be cooler. I lived in europe for work for many years and I love Hostels.the only thing it didn't have was a flatscreen..Big woop😋 I had my own bathroom. refrigerator..it was my War Bunker..plus a communal kitchen..I'll def be back.👍 …

Had no plans, or idea, what I was going to do during finals week till led on through NP community FB group monday night, when it dawned on me commuting 2 and a half hours a day all week wasn't feasible. Called, told him I wouldn't be there till 1am, left a key for me - tonight's the first night I have really "been" here and not burning oil on campus, but it has been incredibly pleasant, comfortable, affordable....and I had a great successful finals week because of it....I'm 35, if your bothered by noise during the day, remeber it's a hostel, and people live here....but I have never had a more relaxing stressful week in my life.....highly recommend

Very clean and comfortable hostel with private rooms that have a ton of character. I stay in New Paltz a few times a year and would prefer the hostel to any chain hotel. I very recently had a great experience with their customer service as well. I can't wait for my next stay.

My girlfriend and I booked an Airbnb that fell through and last minute found the New Paltz hostel and it was truly a pleasant surprise. It's minutes away from campus and right on a bustling street with lots of food. The room we stayed in had a large sunflower mural with well kept beds and a bathroom with a private shower. The price was amazingly low and service was wonderful. We will definitely be staying again!

Stayed 1 night in the sunflower room. Private bathroom was impeccably clean. Room amenities - desk w/ chair, mirror, dresser, bed & bunkbeds, bedside table w/ lamp and white noise machine, ceiling fan w/ light. Towels, washcloths, body wash, hand soap, disposable earplugs, & wifi password were provided. Shared kitchen was very clean. Parking was very difficult due to the fact that I couldn't fit my car past a parked vehicle to get in the small lot, so I had to park elsewhere and walk. All in all, a great place to stay and I will be back!

stayed here for the night with my fiance and a friend, and we had a lovely room to accommodate all three of us comfortably. the staff was very friendly and helpful, and they knew all the cool spots to eat and shop in town. especially grateful to becky for her lunch recommendation (frank's fresh pickling co. -- such great sandwiches!) we will definitely be back!
